Inspired by the privately minted gold coins struck in Salt Lake City, this replica reflects a unique chapter in American monetary history, when the Latter-day Saints used California Gold Rush gold to create local currency in the Utah Territory between the 1840s and 1860s.

The front features a Phrygian cap (symbolizing liberty) positioned above the "All-Seeing Eye of Jehovah," encircled by the inscription "HOLINESS TO THE LORD".

The back Depicts clasped hands, representing fellowship and strength in unity, with the date 1849 and denomination "TWO AND HALF DO.". It also includes the initials "G.S.L.C.P.G." which stands for "Great Salt Lake City Pure Gold".
